Our journey to hell continues from right where we left off. The seal on the Gates of Hell has been undone, but we've still got some obstacles in the way. And the first of those obstacles, Malicious, is upon us! A demonic Enrapture, these things enrage enemies...and are also just way more aggressive than Enraptures. Take them out first if you can! Wait, Verse 2? To be honest, I forget where Verse 1 is. I think you have to run back to where you start, or something...I don't even know why they do that. Why hide the FIRST Verse of a chapter?!

Another Muspelheim awaits, another timer challenge and....ech....this got ugly. So ugly I just edited out a few attempts for your benefit. See, for one, Malicious has a health bar, so it's a tad hardier than its Enrapture counterpart, and two....demonic enemies in general seem to parry or outright DODGE your attacks more often. That and our twin swords are kinda weak, so I needed the POWER that Chernabog brings. That, or I could have been smarter with my Torture Attacks.

We'll just move along here and...wow, Allegiance's weapon sucks! It's better against a crowd of enemies, to be fair, and Urbane/Gravitas enemies ARE annoyingly hardy, but still... Moving on! Nothing to see here!

You might have figured I missed an LP fragment last chapter, but NOPE! The game pulls a fast one on you and scatters fragments across TWO Chapters! Don't know why they didn't do that more often, really... But yes, a new weapon is soon to be ours!

SURPRISE! You didn't think we were done with Golem, did you? Here it is in all it's glory, taking on our demonic forms for once! More than just Diomedes at least! I might as well talk about it here, since it doesn't really show up in Torture Attacks or Infernal Climaxes, but you've seen quite a bit of our bat demon, and Golem even takes on it's form. Mictlantecuhtli, the Presser of Destruction, shows up for quite a few Umbran Climaxes, for Rakshasa, Love is Blue (on the feet anyway), and even Chernobog and one other weapon we haven't seen yet in this game.

Speaking of demons...here's an old face! Hekatoncheir! And hey, they finally got their spike down! Enough to right the Gates of Hell and leave it ready for us to enter! We'll be seeing a bit more of our old friend soon, don't worry!

Oh snap, our Masked friend is back! And here's that ominous one from before! Wait, we're NOT gonna have another rival fight? This guy is gonna fight us? Heh. He just sits on his throne all day and let's Maskey do the heavy lifting, so this should be a cakewa- oh. Oooooooh.

Prophet...puts up a good fight! With energy hands that can appear from nothing (Hey, only Bayo can fight like that!), his tells are MUCH harder to read, so keep that dodge button handy. He's not content to just hit you when you're close up either, having some projectiles ready for you. Are those Rekkas?! Nice! It's VERY hard to see too, but you can JUST make out Maskey and Loki fighting below. Not quite as easy to make out as Infernal Demons and Cardinal Virtues duking it out though...

Even after all that we still lose though! And to rub salt in the wound, Prophet inflicts a little Mind Rape on poor Bayo. And what we see....ain't pretty.

Balder?! Now, that voice sounds familiar...and so does that outfit. HMMMMMMM. WHO COULD MASKEY BE?! I mean, c'mon, game. If you're gonna have a character with a concealed face, make the reveal at least SOMEWHAT poignant. Not that the "surprise" wasn't just spelled out for us right from the get-go...

So Balder really DIDN'T want to make the Umbra Witches extinct? And he did love Rosa? Who would have thought Peacock Man would have been a victim in all this?

I realize it's raining, but I like to think the shock of watching her mother die AGAIN is making Bayo break out in a cold sweat. But that's just me. Loki's quick thinking saves us from getting further curbstomped at least. Into the Gates we go!

You'll get yours one day, Prophet! It's only a....matter of....time? (Damn, he already used that one!)
