What if "have the courage to disobey" didn't mean Airy after all? What if it meant disobeying all these warning signs that this path we've been walking will lead towards destruction? What if it means disobeying every impulse to take the "easy" way out, to stand firm against the true cause of all our strife?

By awakening the last crystal and heading to the Holy Pillar, we get the familiar flash of light, and then... we awaken on the bridge, not in Caldisla! Airy declares she's done it, and the gang assumes the Great Chasm has finally closed!

Except... it hasn't. What Airy has done is destroyed the barrier between enough worlds for the sake of her true master, Ouroboros, so he can invade the Celestial Realm. She decides to mop things up, and we're put in a repeat of the final boss from the other ending.

But this is the true ending path! Of course that's not the final boss. We manage to chase her off to the Dark Aurora, but we need to regroup. It's time to visit the Sage, but he doesn't know anything about any Ouroboros or a Celestial Realm. However, he and DeRosso still seem to have a plan. The spirit of the angel lives on in Agnès' pendant, and it's time for the old fogies to set their plan in motion.

Yulyana opens up the game's final optional dungeon, Dimension's Hasp. You can technically unlock it in the other ending, but you have to go out of your way for it and the end of it is locked away until you do this ending. It's the place where you can find the best gear in the game, but you can't warp out and you can't turn off encounters. Thus, we won't be seeing it.

At the end of the Dark Aurora, just as before, Airy is waiting in her super secret ultimate form redux final v3. She's a lot tougher if you're not prepared. She loves to use Dark Abyss, which inflicts Dread on the party, and follows it up with Plague, which kills everyone with a status ailment. Her other favorite tactic is to use Acedia to erase your buffs and weaken you to every element and immediately hit you with Zeta Flare, which counts as a fire spell.

Getting through her was tougher than I anticipated, but her life ends with Ouroboros devouring her and making his appearance, sorta. He's taken on Tiz's form, and he explains his goal: he thinks the Celestial Realm is too stagnant, and he wants to invade it to bring all sorts of suffering. In order to do so, he needs power, which he gains from devouring entire worlds. That's bad! So we better stop him!

There's a lot to this fight, and along the way, we get help from DeRosso, who stops Ouroboros from using that Total Regeneration move. Ouroboros has to resort to destroying worlds to get his healing, and he'll even channel that surge of energy into a potent spell. As it goes on, he offers a deal: if our heroes lay down their weapons, he'll spare the remaining worlds. Agnès is too hurt by the destruction of the worlds to refuse, but then...!

The angel in the pendant offers the group courage one last time, and even hope! The other worlds, including parallel versions of ourselves, are fighting back too, breaking free of the barriers that allows Ouroboros to devour them! Through their prayers, they tell us their worlds are safe, and we're safe to keep fighting.

The last trick Ouroboros has is a move called Divergence. It's like locking a character out of phase with reality, which is to say that they can't interact with the battle at all. All they can do is Default... or summon a friend. After all, the pendant transcends time and space, and it can transcend that barrier, too!

So with the power of friendship, not just between the characters but between players as well, we manage to defeat Ouroboros and save thousands of worlds, not to mention the Celestial Realm. This time for real, everyone goes home, back to the worlds they came from. And a certain otherworldly being gives back what he borrowed...
