So, here we are in the third world. Ringabel's memory is starting to come back. No one in Caldisla recognized us. Word has it that Til is alive. Let's get started.

Now, once again, we've got refights to do. Here, I think, is where things start to really get interesting with the asterisk holders. You get to see sides of them that you wouldn't have seen in the other two worlds. For example, Holly and Berras are absolutely an item! Ominas... well, he has a shaky grip on reality. But Heinkel's express mission is to protect Agnès! We still gotta kick his ass, though.

Jackal is still Jackal, ranting about his upbringing and lack thereof, but we also see that he's paying it forward by taking of some orphans himself. And luckily, we didn't kill him! Khamer and Profiteur are mostly the same, but we also learn that Khint has a daughter who needs expensive medical treatment, and that's what he wanted all that money for.

But, you know, the real story is about awakening the crystals again, and after the wind crystal, Ringabel has a bit of a headache as his memories come into focus. We see him holding Edea's body while Tiz and Agnès lie slain on the deck of the Grandship. Hm!

At the water temple, Ringabel suddenly has a question: what would happen if Agnès didn't stop praying? Or, rather, since we know it would destroy the crystal, what would happen after that? Airy says humanity would lose the blessing of the crystal, but Ringabel asks: couldn't we do without the blessing? Airy seems flustered, but she says the disasters plaguing the world would be permanent. After the ritual, though, it's another glimpse into Ringabel's memories. There's a familiar fairy, and he says, "Then, it isn't a cure to rid the world of darkness." Hmm!

Skipping ahead to the fire temple, Ringabel has another question: what even are these crystals, anyway? Airy doesn't want to bother, but Agnès explains that they've existed since before human civilization. That leads Ringabel to wonder what they were before they become objects of worship, but Airy says they were always crystals. Not much of an answer. Ringabel then says that the templar believes the crystals should be overseen by people looking out for the good of everyone, not a corrupt cult, but they drop the conversation.

After the third ritual, Ringabel has his worst headache yet. Again, a rather familiar-looking fairy is there, and we see the pattern on her wings change. She then mocks him for failing, and he's crushed by the regret.

Folks, Ringabel has fully recovered all of his memories.

As he tells Tiz, his real name is Alternis Dim, confirming what we already strongly suspected. He's noticed that Airy's pattern has changed: now it's a 3, in the last world it was a 4, and when the gang got together, it was a 5. In his memory, we saw it was a 6. That leads him to one conclusion: he's from the parallel world "before" the one where our heroes met. He believes Airy was involved in the deaths of the three in his world, and he wants Tiz to tell Agnès alone.

And that's our cue to go visit Yulyana. Like last time, he asks Agnès to bring one single ally with her to the bottom of the cave, and naturally that's Tiz. Before getting to Ringabel's memories, Tiz asks Yulyana if the angel talked about anything other than the crystals. According to the old man, she said she was deceived by the "Evil One." She unwittingly drove the crystals out of control and tore open the barrier between worlds, and she and her two friends were just defeated by that evil.

But that's not all. She left Yulyana with a pendant and told him to give it to her the next time they met--the same pendant Agnès has. She also told him that if she appeared with the Evil One, he shouldn't hesitate to kill them. Of course, he did, when the moment actually arrived. Tiz has just one last question to remove all doubt: Is the Evil One...?

But Agnès can't bear to hear it spoken aloud. Tiz convinces her to trust Ringabel, and they're about to leave when Yulyana has one more piece of information. Turns out, a destroyed crystal can regenerate, as long as there's a core. Where could we find a core? Why, it's the pendant, of course! Turns out, it's good for more than sending and receiving friend summons!

With that knowledge in hand, the remaining crystal awaits. Will we keep playing along with Airy's scheme? Or will we try destroying a crystal, knowing that we have a core to replace it?

Better tune in next time and find out!
