Karn:
Like we had a choice, none of us can swim or breathe underwater.

Bo:
And you think Gills are going to solve this? How do we know these "Gills" even exist? If you ask me, it sounds like another one of his cheap ploys.

Karn:
We DID trade him a freaking Gold Bar for Gun Powder and now he asks for 1000000 Gold for this. Is he asking to be beaten up?

Nina:
Wait a minute, why aren't you going with him? If I'm not mistaken, YOU can breathe underwater. Not to mention float and hover to land.

Dragoon:
Are you kidding? With THAT worthless swindler? The guy is hardly equipped to face dangers on his own, I'll only be pulling up all the legwork ALL the way through, even if I was to fly back to land. I gave him 9 x Mrbl3's so he wouldn't run into ANYTHING... hopefully.

Bo:
Then why did he take the rest of our inventory?

Ryu:
He WHAT?! I thought he just took our gold as a deposit for this stupid service charge!

Nina:
I overheard him mumbling that he needed more as deposit... and security.

Karn:
That Bastard!

Dragoon:
Nina can't you warp back to Auria and check if there are additional boats available?

Nina:
Ummm... I don't know Warp... what... are you talking about?

Everyone Else:
*Stares at Nina*

Nina:
Look guys... I'm tired right now, I'm still trying to dry off my wings.

Ryu:
Sigh... I might as well start fishing for some food... even with no bait... maybe I can use this Ring...

Bo:
HEY that's my clan's sacred treasure, don't treat it as a disposable!

Ryu:
It's not like there's anything else available, plus YOU can't even wear the Ring yourself. So what do you suggest? I fish with a COCONUT?!

Bo:
...

Dragoon:
If the stupid fish doesn't come back with the goods OR demands more money, I say we fillet him, EXTRA CRISPY.

Bo and Karn:
Agreed.

Nina:
Mmmm... it's been a while since I ate seafood.

*JOKING ASIDE, Gobi is downright the WORST character I've ever seen as a playable character in an RPG. The guy is a greedy dick that cares little about the rest and YET he is forced to remain with Ryu's crew. As an underwater fighter, he REALLY doesn't benefit in the long run. His attack spells are usable ONLY underwater rendering them complete garbage anywhere else as the underwater chapter only comes into play during the halfway point and nowhere else. His armory options are pretty pathetic longterm-wise. His attacks are NO BETTER, though sometimes he deals slightly higher when his strike hits a sweet spot. He reminds me a lot of Torneko from Dragon Quest 4, though I can't tell whose worse and only that at least Torneko wasn't an overall jerk despite slacking off sometimes during combat. The ONLY saving grace for Gobi is that he is needed for Karn's Fusions, and he is the ONLY one to extract the best equipment sold at Flea Markets. If not for those 2 aspects, he would be better off as a seafood platter.

BOSS: Morteo [12:18]
This grim reaper isn't very hard to defeat. He only attacks with his scythe, which isn't a whole lot. Just don't use Gobi, he's completely useless in battle.

This marks the beginning of the cool new battle music. Some backtracking, done after getting powerhouse Ox, who can mow down stone obstructions and topple trees (sort of...). He is the slowest char in the entire game having literally 0 stats in ACTIVE (for a great deal of the game). He is an important and final char in Karn's Fusions. Returning back to the connecting cave between Auria and Bleak, Agua, and Krypt to get the last of the treasures. The B. Rang in particular is important for later on. Ox is given 2 healing spells and I think this was merely a pity gift to give every character the ability to cast spells.

Gant also marks Karn's first Fusion, and debatably 2nd best out of his 4. Shin-Bo is the combination of Bo and Gobi. In this form, Bo (Karn) can shoot arrows that travel even longer than his normal arrows, making hunting even easier. He retains the ability to traverse wooded areas while in the lead. His overall stats are heightened extensively.

Backtracking to Auria briefly reveals that Ross' captain managed to swim back to Auria. Wow... and WHERE EXACTLY WAS HE WHEN THE DARK DRAGONS BOARDED OUR SHIP?! Nevermind... The Aurian Patrol no longer impulsively imprison Ryu and crew since they are now working more closely with Bleak residents to suppress the Dark Dragons; however, you can still get arrested if you try to open THE chest in the NE residential house.
