Burnout Paradise Remastered (2018) - Every PC F1 Game
Burnout Paradise Remastered by Criterion/Electronic Arts, 2018.
Looking very similar to the 2008 version, but with tweaked up graphics that are a bit cleaner all around, the main draw of this 2018 remastered edition was the addition of DLC that never made it to the PC originally, such as Big Surf Island.
The rest of my comments come from my notes on The Ultimate Box former version, with a few tweaks where necessary...
As this game is set entirely in an open world, with only some broken down racetrack areas, I've just used areas of the city for these clips. I've also not used in-car view, as you can't see the nose or any part of the car, which makes it look like there's a lot of behind-the-car action going on!
Note: there's also a Police themed F1 car, but I've stuck to the original. The car is sort of a mix of IndyCar (rollover bar) and F1, but is described as the pinnacle of motorsport, so I'm saying it's effectively F1!
The place names below are just indications of what I'm aiming for.
1. Race Start (Monza): 0:00 Races are a mix of rival vehicles, and with this F1-like car, very frantic and fast affairs!
2. Spray Effects (Silverstone): 0:31 There's no rain in the game, but there is fog, which I wasn't able to capture in this Remastered vesion! There's not really a replay camera (until you crash!) so I've just manually swung the camera around to the front of the car, hence the poor driving, as I can't see where I'm going!
3. Tunnel & View (Monaco): 0:49 I've switched this clip to a new location in Remastered, this is part of Big Surf Island.
4. Wet Track (Spa-Francorchamps): 1:24 Again there's no rain, but here's a twisty bit in the mountains.
5. Pitstop (Interlagos): 1:28 Being a high-speed arcade game, pitstops are literally over in a flash, as you just need to sprint through a garage to be fixed! Unlike The Ultimate Box video, here I also go through a petrol/gas station to refill my turbo too!
6. Huge Crash (Montreal): 1:40 As the game is notorious for crashing, I've gone to town here, combining a regular in-race crash with the Showtime Road Rule feature, where using your boost bounces your car, and you try to wreck as much as possible, for cash! I scored more here than in The Ultimate Box, so it takes a while :-D
