With no more worries about needing to evade battles just to see a certain form of some magic teaching entity, I can go back to 2300AD to clean up a couple areas for some quick loot. First up, there's the Sewer Access located east of Arris Dome.
Enemy wise, the damage is start to become a bit more noticeable, but Robo picks up his third tech Laser Spin a few fights in. 3 mp for an AoE isn't half bad at all, especially when it does shadow element damage which most enemies here are extremely weak to. Couple that with the fact this is used along with Crono's Cyclone for the double tech Rocket Roll and there's LOTS of "X Gonna Give it to Ya!" caliber moments for the dungeon, including it's master Sir Krawlie.
The dungeon's pretty linear. The first fork has 600G to the east while the path west leads to linear roadville. There are some scattered objects on the level below though that, if interacted with, trigger a fight.
Once you come back up to the first floor, there's a path hidden by the walls to the north. Heading down this path leads to a switch to unlock the nearby door. From there, it leads to a chest with a Rage Band (accessory with a 50% chance to counter granted for the wearer).
Once Krawlie gets pasted (All he ever does is an attack that drops a target to 1 hp, then a normal strike, then back to the hp to 1 move), move south to see a ladder leading up. You'll want to grab the Bolt Sword in the nearby chest though since it grants Crono a 1.5x damage boost against machine enemies.
Heading up the ladder leads back to the world map, but on an island. The mountain to your immediate east Death Peak which you'll want to enter. There's a strong wind around that, when it gusts, will whisk you out of the mountain. Nothing we can do about this now, but if you run north, you can grab a Soda Tab on the right side just before you're blown away.
Southwest of Death Peak is Keeper's Dome. Not much here besides some old man mentioning a Schala and a couple of his creations, the Ocean Palace & Blackbird.
Also of note here...that strange door in the back. There's been a couple of these around 2300AD as well as some look alike chests across the 600 & 1000AD eras. They're sealed and it'll be quite some time before we can do anything with them.
The other cleanup area is the right side of the Factory. Take the northeastern elevator at the entrance to reach it.
When you land in the eastern area, there's an open door to your west with a hidden Mid Ether inside. Head south from that door until you go down a ladder that leads to another Bolt Sword at the end.
Back to the elevator, head straight south and you'll find a way to get on one of the conveyor belts. If you ram into any of the robots on it, your party gets grabbed and tossed on to the other conveyor belt to do a few fights. Nothing too insane, but the Proto 3 enemies get a mention.
Proto 3s seem meek at first...and they're a sitting duck if Lucca gets the stop proc on them with her Plasma Gun. However, they have the same flame attack the Acids do and can do 150+ damage with it.
After the conveyor belt trip, you're deposited next to a door in the southwest part of the room. There's an Ether in a chest a bit of a way down the conveyor, but you'll need to time it properly to run backwards.
The southwest exit leads to some bugs that get promptly set ablaze, then a ladder leading to a path going over the conveyor belts to the north. When you reach two doors, take the east one while grabbing the loot over here (Mid Ether & Mid Tonic, 400G). The computer panel reveals two codes for the crane. First code is X & A, second is B & B.
After heading through the other door, grab the Shelter & Ether from chests, then head south to operate the crane. Enter both codes above to remove a pair of red barrels from your path, one of which lets you reach the last room in the northwest. This tells you about the generator door which is pointless now, but there is a second Rage Band in the chest.
Finally, back at Spekkio, he's moved up to his second form and boy has his damage spiked upwards. Gone are the piddly 40-50 damage spells and in come the same spells doing 200+ damage. Revive anyone that gets knocked out while shelling the monster with magic. You'll get another Soda Tab along with 5 Ethers for the victory.
The video concludes with Marle picking up her first stat enhancement. She'll be going after the physical power boosting stats all the way.
