If I was to say the FPS genre has changed for the worst and perhaps..for the better, I would point to many things including Call of Duty and Halo both being a major reason why but also hero shooters/looter shooters and all. I never did play the original Destiny but I knew a lot of friends who played it and after much thought I decided to go over Destiny 2, the sequel which goes back to 2017 with the PS5 getting a port on December 8th 2020. This video I should note is without any of the newer dlc including the recent release named Lightfall and this is the first "blind episode" where I jumped in without any knowledge of the game how it plays etc beforehand.

Destiny 2 is, essentially, a Free-To-Play FPS MMO game which also takes cues from RPG games to provide a larger scale world than the first game did. Similar to the previous game and like the third person mmo shooter Warframe, Destiny 2 has several classes with their own playstyle and abilities which are known as "guardians" and for this episode I went as the Titan who is adapt at not only gunplay but using energy shields and devastating melee combat up close.

The overall story has many arcs to it and the overall focus is that we're a guardian of the "light", The natural order of all good in the Last City, So much has changed since the first game with various factions popping up. Our "Ghost" will provide us with various functions including hacking computers, Gunplay is nothing really special to mention though like Warframe the type of weapon will change the damage such as Legendary weapons which can be a absolute waste of time if you aren't prepared.

Trying to get around is somewhat sluggish as there's never a sense of speed and sprinting only make you seem like you are going faster, vehicles you can control are extremely crude in how they handle and are frustrating to say the least? Jetpack which is activated by pressing Triangle and then holding it? That was a constant annoyance trying to get up or reach a critical objective thats above me and sometimes it lead to me taking damage from falls, Also frustrating? Trying to do missions in this game overall!

It always feels like Destiny 2 goes out of its way to make things harder than needbe, this is most notable when you are dealing with a boss as I was in this video, sometimes telling what can be instant death from what isn't is very hard for me to decipher, and it further aggravated me to learn this boss requires you to use the Strike function which is the Destiny term for a Raid and being low level that wasn't a option and this was the MAIN quest in the Europa Zone.

Destiny 2's biggest thing for me? I generally do not.. understand why a Free to play FPS game would charge nearly 50 dollars for a DLC which is the price of a new game and that seems like *Greed* to me, Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't get.. Destiny 2 isn't nothing special, it may have its fan but after Warframe and this game I've found modern space era shooters to be rough carbon rather than diamonds.
