https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/megawads/moonbld And speaking of megawads that appeal to me and are the embodiment of everything I expect from a megawad, It's finally time to tackle the first of 3 wads which were made of a trilogy by Deadwing. That is right, It's time to give the due deserved to Moonblood.

Released on April 13 2017, Moonblood is a 32 level megawad and follows a path similar to Scythe and Scythe II by breaking it's levels in episodes, a total of 6 with 2 secret maps, It also has a less saturated color palate which gives it a unique look among the Doom II megawads, with Deadwing paying close attention to lighting and also placement of enemies and health and ammo. All of Moonblood's maps are longer than a usual megwad but easily just as open to any kind of player.

Moonblood's OST aside from Map32 (A unreal tournament song) was all composed by Deadwing and similar to Stewboy & Xenonemsis' music in Interception, the ost of this megawad gives an atmosphere that is unmatched among 2017 releases, Moonblood isn't too hard though you'll have singed hair and broken bones if you think Moonblood will let you get through the last chapter without finding secrets. But still, similar to Interception, Moonblood strikes me as a different kind of megawad, Its another of my favorite wads and I play it often, and with mods.
