Time to hoof it to Cento Temple. It's not too far, just got to go counter clockwise around the lake outside Faraday City and you should find the temple with ease.
Inside, Deus takes Daniel to the office of the head priest of the temple, Galius. If he seems familiar, that's because he's the acting governor of the Oischin region...and honestly, a breath of fresh air compared to some of the very abrasive attitude ones like Vosch and, to a slightly lesser extent, Banhk. Maybe he thinks Daniel was promoted a little too quickly, but he keeps a level head and a neutral standing with Zelmony matters.
Today though, it's not about Zelmony matters, but that issue Deus mentioned back at the city...the temple's been getting assaulted by waves of elementals. The first time wasn't so bad since the temple monks repelled them without much issue, but when they come in greater numbers, that can pose some serious trouble.
Daniel's mission which he gladly takes is simple...the ones summoning the elementals have taken residence in a mansion just to the east of the temple. Daniel just needs to go there and kindly give them an eviction notice, perhaps with some force.
Galius doesn't let Daniel go unprepared though. He gives him 4k Arn and a copy of Photon Beam on top of requesting Deus go with him to provide support. Works for me, especially with how bulky Deus is for a mage.
You then get a chance to explore the temple if you wish. There's a spell shop with an assortment of status cleansing spells. Sadly, Enlight from Last Scenario got reduced to such a cleansing status. You do want to pick up a copy or two of Balance as it'll be a big help for the boss of the mansion.
Speaking of the mansion, a cutscene from there starts once Daniel leaves the temple with three of the presumed people causing elemental summoning shenanigans. There's the guy with a bit of dynasty era clothing selection (Orlando), a bald guy with the most obvious villainous moustache (Boris), and a rather plain guy in light blue clothing (Ice).
From the initial conversation, we can gleam that these three were responsible for the attacks on Cento Temple. Orlando in particular seems to have a personal vendetta to find "him" at the temple. Totally not him trying to do his best cosplay of Vile trying to hunt down X, no sir, heh.
Eventually, their supposed leader comes waltzing in, suggesting it's time to get into action once more, but not before Ice drops an interesting tidbit...the Frostmonger from the forest is implied to be of his own doing.
Oh, and Boris suggests a name for the quartet, the Caretakers...which elicits a likely facepalm from both Ice & Orlando, given their reactions.
