How to Connect a LAN Cable and Not use WIFI on PS5 (Network Settings)

To connect a LAN cable to your PS5 and disable Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the back of the PS5
Connect the other end to your router or modem
Now set up the wired connection on your PS5

Go to Settings on your PS5 home screen
Select Network
Choose Settings on the left
Select Set Up Internet Connection
Scroll down and select Set Up Wired LAN
Choose Connect or Set Up Manually if needed
Once connected, your PS5 should now use the LAN cable
To make sure your PS5 does not use Wi-Fi

In Network Settings, go to Set Up Internet Connection
Select your Wi-Fi network
Choose Forget to disconnect it completely
Alternatively, select Disable Wi-Fi
