How to Turn Off PS5 Pro using your Controller (Power Settings)
1To turn off your PS5 Pro using your controller, it’s pretty simple once you know the steps. Start by pressing the PlayStation button in the center of your DualSense controller, the one with the PS logo. This brings up the control center, a quick menu at the bottom of your screen.
Scroll over to the power icon, it looks like a circle with a line sticking out the top, usually the last option on the right. Press the X button to select it. You’ll see three choices: “Enter Rest Mode,” “Turn Off PS5,” and “Restart PS5.” Move down to “Turn Off PS5” with the directional pad or left stick, then hit X again. The console will start shutting down, and you’ll see the power light blink a few times before it goes dark.
If your controller’s not responding, make sure it’s charged and paired—plug it into the PS5 with a USB cable if you’re unsure. The PS5 Pro doesn’t have any fancy new shutdown tricks compared to the original PS5, so this method works the same way. Once it’s off, you’re good to go. Let me know if you run into any hiccups!
