Connecting a keyboard and mouse to any Android phone can be done via wired or wireless methods, enhancing productivity or accessibility. Below is a concise guide for both approaches, ensuring compatibility across Android devices, including Samsung and Motorola.

Wired Connection
Requirements:

USB OTG adapter (USB-C to USB-A or Micro-USB to USB-A, depending on your phone’s port).
USB keyboard and/or mouse.
Optional: USB hub for multiple devices.
Steps:

Verify OTG support using an app like “USB OTG Checker” from the Play Store.
Plug the OTG adapter into your phone’s charging port.
Connect the keyboard/mouse to the adapter’s USB-A port. Use a hub for both devices.

The phone should detect them automatically: a cursor appears for the mouse, and the keyboard works in text fields.
If not detected, ensure the OTG adapter is compatible and check Settings, Additional Settings or System for OTG toggle.
Note: Wired setups may drain battery faster. Use a powered hub if needed.

Wireless Connection
Option 1: Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse
Requirements:

Bluetooth-enabled keyboard/mouse.
Android phone with Bluetooth.
Steps:

Go to Settings, Bluetooth, and turn it on.
Put the keyboard/mouse in pairing mode (check manual, often a button press until LED blinks).

In Bluetooth settings, scan and select the device. Enter pairing code if prompted (e.g., “0000” or “1234”).

Mouse shows a cursor; keyboard works in text fields.
If pairing fails, ensure devices are charged, restart Bluetooth, and retry.
Option 2: 2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard/Mouse (USB Receiver)
Requirements:

Wireless keyboard/mouse with USB receiver (dongle).
USB OTG adapter.
Steps:

Plug the OTG adapter into your phone’s port.
Insert the USB receiver into the adapter’s USB-A port.
Devices should work instantly: cursor for mouse, keyboard for typing.
If not, use a hub for multiple receivers or check battery levels in devices.
