How to Delete DLC or Add Ons on PS5 Console (Settings Tutorial)
3To delete DLC or add-ons on your PS5 console, you need to manage the game’s storage since these extras are tied to the base game’s installation. The PS5 doesn’t let you remove DLC directly from a separate menu—it’s bundled with the game—so you’ll work through the game’s data options. Here’s how to do it:
First, go to the home screen and find the game with the DLC you want to delete. Highlight it, press the Options button on your controller, and select Manage Game Content. This opens a screen showing all installed add-ons, like extra levels, skins, or season passes, if the game supports this view. If you see the DLC listed here, select it and choose Delete. Confirm, and it’s gone.
If Manage Game Content doesn’t show the add-ons—some games don’t break them out cleanly—go a different route. From the home screen, head to Settings in the top-right corner, then Storage, and pick Console Storage. Select Games and Apps. Scroll to the game tied to the DLC, hit Delete, and confirm to wipe the whole game, including its add-ons, from your console. Don’t worry—you’re not losing ownership; you can redownload later.
After deleting, go to your Game Library—scroll right on the home screen—and find Your Collection. Select the game, then hit Download or Install. On the next screen, the PS5 shows a checklist of the base game and all available DLC or add-ons you own. Uncheck the boxes for the DLC you don’t want, leave the base game checked, and start the download. This reinstalls just what you picked, leaving the unwanted add-ons out.
