The very first step of getting resource packs in Minecraft 1.15.1 is downloading them. There are thousands of different 1.15.1 resource packs that you can download. To get started, you just need to open up Minecraft 1.15.1, and from the main menu, click on the 'options' tab. The, you will see a 'resource packs' button. Click on that, and in the bottom left you will see an 'open resource packs folder' button. Once you click that, a folder will open up. Now, closeout of the folder. Click the 'done' button in the bottom right of Minecraft, and then, click the 'Resource Packs' button again. Click that arrow to move it to the selected resource pack section. Now, click done. Once you do that, you have officially installed a resource pack in Minecraft 1.15.1!
Installing older resource packs from previous versions of Minecraft is the exact same. The only difference is that you will get a warning before activating older resource packs. Go ahead and accept this warning, and it will activate.
