The very first step of getting a Minecraft is downloading it. In order to download Minecraft maps for 1.15.1, we need to go over a few different ground rules. First off, you need to make sure that the map yo are installing is compatible with either Minecraft 1.15.1 or 1.14.4 if you are okay with updating your map. Luckily, we have a list of 15 incredible custom maps that are updated to Minecraft 1.15.1. These maps will allow you to play everything from Parkour to Survival maps to dropper maps to Minecraft RPG maps all in Minecraft 1.15.1!
Once you have your Minecraft 1.15.1 map downloaded, it is time to get installed in game. Overall, this process is pretty easy. Just click on the little Windows icon in the top left of your computer and search for ‘Run’. You will then see a Run application. Open up the Run application, and you will see a text box. In this text box, type ‘%appdata%’ and hit enter. This will open up your ‘roaming’ folder. Here you should have a ‘.minecraft’ folder.
Open up your .minecraft folder, and in it, you will see a ‘saves’ folder. Open up that saves folder, and you will see all of the maps that you currently have in Minecraft. Now, go back to the custom map that you have downloaded, double click on it and keep clicking through the folders until you see ‘Data’, ‘DIM1’, and ‘DIM-1’. Then, click back one folder, and drag-and-drop that folder into your saves folder.
At this point, lo you need to is open up Minecraft 1.15.1, click on ‘Single Player’, and double click on the map you installed. You may need to scroll down in to find your custom map though. Now, you are done! You now know how to download and install Minecraft maps on PC in Minecraft 1.15.1!
