If you’d guessed that getting the metal we needed for the commission wouldn’t be as easy as asking the ore merchant if we could buy some of it, then you know how quests in D&D typically wind up becoming far more complicated than they first appear. Fortunately for us this is a relatively minor adventure that can be done at the start of the game, so the extra challenge is likely to be minimal at best. That we have three heavy hitting fighters certainly helps trivialise some otherwise difficult encounters, doubly so when they’re hasted.

Once we’ve done this quest, it’ll be time to start on a longer and more involved one that we got quite a while ago. Fortunately for us there’s no time limit on dealing with it, so we can start working on it now as if we’d only just heard what we had to do without consequence. Not all quests are going to be so generous and the ones that aren’t will be sure to let us known, we just need to pay attention to what we’re told and realise that fact.
