Let's Play Donkey Kong Country - Part 8: Not Such an Ice Thing
The second half of the snow and ice world is actually not all that rich in snow or ice. 4-4, Croctopus Chase, is another underwater level. It introduces a new enemy, but the main focus of this level is a new kind of Croctopus that, once you swim past it, starts pursuing you up to a certain point. That's about all there is to this level...it can be quite easy or very hard, depending on how good you are at swimming. 4-5, Torchlight Trouble, is another cave-themed one. This stage actually introduces Squawks to the series, though in this game, all he does is provide light for you and this is the only level he appears in. This level is very dark, but releasing Squawks will give you some light. 4-6, Rope Bridge Rumble, is probably the least fitting level in this world, being set in the same treetop environment as Tree Top Town earlier, though this one has tires instead of barrels. The boss stage of Gorilla Glacier is Really Gnawty Rampage, which pits you against basically an upgraded version of Very Gnawty from the first world. He jumps higher, and after being hit, he makes an extra-high jump for each time he has been hit. He is pretty easy to defeat, though.
