Let's Play Mega Man X4 - Part 11: General Semantics
We're done with the Space Port, and now we move on to the second "fortress" stage, the Final Weapon. The first part is short and simple, but at the end of it, we must fight...Double?! Apparently, he was a spy working for Sigma, and apparently, his true form is a lot nastier. He can dash at X and shoot large blue orbs and even larger blue crescents. His weakness is the Double Cyclone, but using it on him seems to make him perform a very annoying attack that he otherwise wouldn't use, so I don't find it to be worth the trouble. You only fight this guy as X; if you're playing as Zero, there is a different boss here. The stage doesn't end after you defeat him, though...you just move on to the second section of the stage, which features a path split that essentially gives you the choice between lots of bottomless pits or lots of spikes. I took the upper path and the spikes. The stage boss is General, a massive yellow robot. He only has three basic attacks: jetting across the room (slowly), firing off his hands and shooting blue bubble-like projectiles (you can actually stand on the hands), and shooting blue diamond-shaped projectiles. He is actually pretty easy as X but quite a nuisance as Zero because you have to hit his tiny head to damage him, which is nearly impossible if all you have are melee attacks. X can just stay on the other side of the room and fire Plasma Shots.
