Remember when I thought that the medusa was a nasty enemy due to the chance it had to instantly kill us? So far, scaladars are far worse then medusas. Though the constructs aren't capable of instantly killing us - contrary to what I thought at the time of recording this video - their electricity based attack can stack damage on top of you with multiple hits in quick succession, killing you so fast that it might as well be instant. It can launch the attack right next to you much like the chimera could, but if you back away from it at that point it'll hit you again and again. Unfortunately, the same happens if you're trapped in a dead end, making it hard to discern how the attack works. The description on death doesn't make it any clearer.

Add onto that the ability to hit quite hard, taking less damage from our melee attacks in general and the shocking grasp ring not being at all effective against them - the electric-based attacks is a clue that using that ring is a poor idea - and you've got a foe that's far, far nastier then the medusa ever was. If it was a singular enemy on the floor that'd be fine, but the scaladar is one of the two foes scattered everywhere on this floor.

This means we need to take this floor very slowly, treating every encounter with a scaladar as if it were a medusa, while also being ever mindful that this level is repopulating very quickly and so needing to move through it quickly. It's going to be a tricky endeavour, but I'll try my best.
