Welcome back to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game originally made by Bethesda for the MS Dos. For this playthrough, we are using the Unity remake of the game and a lot of mods to enhance the experience. The game involves navigating the sensitive political landscape of the Illiac Bay, a region of Tamriel on the fictional planet of Nirn comprising of the countries within the bay as well as the various fragmented powers surrounding it on both High Rock and Hammerfell. We have sent to the place on a mission by our Emperor Uriel Septim VII to investigate two curious instances, the shade of King Lysandus that roams the streets of Daggerfall at night and a letter that he sent to the Queen of Daggerfall a few years ago that never reached her. Despite being a dungeon crawler at heart, Daggerfall places a lot of emphasis upon the player's individual exploration as choosing one among the various political factions in the region as they navigate the complex mess that is the Illiac Bay. In this playthrough, we will be playing as a Spellcaster and will shift our focus towards the Mages' Guild and the Temple of Kynareath.

Our past few adventures have made us realise that we need a few potions every now and then to retain our strength during the heat of combat when we may inevitably run out of magicka to cast our spells. As a result, we came to the conclusion that the Temple of Kynareath was not the best place for us. However, since we already swore an oath, it is difficult to simply leave the temple. We must now prove our uselessness to them by eagerly accepting quests and repeatedly failing to complete them. Eventually, they should excommunicate us for our lack of reliability.

So we went ahead and grabbed a quest to exorcise a haunted spirit from some person's home and we promptly headed to look for work outside to occupy the time while the dealine slowly ticked away.

The first work that we recieved was to resolve a feud between two rival vampires and to our surprise, came from a Vampire nonetheless. They wanted us to head over to The Druloten Nest in the province of Daggerfall and to find and slay their rival.

The haunt was not particularly difficult, but when we ultimately bumped into the vampire, we had a tough battle waiting ahead for us, combined with her movement speed. So we had to rely on our wits to improve the situation by staying out of her reach while we teed away on her. After a long battle that lasted quiet a few minutes, we had succesfully slain her and teleported back to the vampire who gave us the quest. However, they were no longer in the shop now for it was closed. So we took to the shelves and liberated whatever we could find while waiting for them to arrive. When they finally did arrive, we gave them the news of our success and were promised that the vampire clans were pleased with us and that they won't harm us for a long time to come.

We then headed to look for some more work and in a huge coincidence, we found another woman who was also a vampire. There must be some kind of civil war raging between the different clans because she also wanted a rival of hers bumped off. So we accepted that quest as well and decided to pay her a visit in The Azargoth Web. Upon knocking this rival off and coming back to our quest giver, we realised that we noticed an unfamiliar face in the The King's Fairy, the pub where we had just turned in our completed assignment.

It turns out, that this woman had a child who had been abducted by The Dark Brotherhood and was being held in The Kingston Residence in Hearthson Manor. She begged us to resuce him and of course, we could not refuse her from the goodness of our hearts. So we headed to Hearthston Manor, infiltrated the home, turned invisible, silently rescued the child, and delivered him back unto his mother.

By this time, our first quest had expired so we went back to the temple of Kyne to hear a few harsh words and grab our next quest in order to get closer to failiure.

We then grabbed another irresponsible waste of money to dive into a dungeon and find a book for a barkeep. So we went ahead to Edworyan Laboratory, grabbed the book, and delivered it unto him.

For our last quest in the Temple of Kyne, we were tasked with eliminating a traitor. So we just travelled till the deadline arrived and upon arrival, the quester rebuked our membership with a pretty sour face.

Here is how Strangeblood quit the Temple of Kynareath:
