MiSTer FPGA - Fester's Quest / NES (Famicom)
0I played this frequently at a friends house back in the 80's, and can honestly say I don't remember even making it to the first boss. Just wandered around the neighborhood lost most of the time. Seems like everyone had this NES cartridge back in the day.
This was the furthest I've made it in the game so far, to the 4th boss.. and I have no idea how that is even a fair fight. Sunsoft really wanted to punish people for getting this far in the game, apparently. Still a fun game I plan on finishing sometime-- perhaps on a livestream.
Lots of tricky enemies and item downgrades to avoid, that really drive up the difficulty here. Give it a try if you like run and gun adventure style games.
