The final island kahuna battle not counting the ones in the Elite Four. We've seen Hapu a lot in the story, and now it's time to face the petite ground-type specialist in battle.

Though she maintains a level advantage and her mons generally have solid STAB attacks, all of Hapu's Pokemon end up OHKO'd. Not even Sandstorm, used by Alolan Dugtrio on the 1st turn and increasing every rock/ground/steel-type's special defence by a level from there until the end of the fight, stops everyone from falling victim to the powerful weakness-penetrating attacks I've got prepared for this battle.

Pelipper comes with Drizzle, a useful ability to deal with ground-type easier, but has to surrender the weather due to being slower than Hapu's lead. It will still OHKO with Scald without any issues.

The special defence boost is decisive in making me focus mainly on physical moves in this fight. Gastrodon is taken down by Alolan Exeggutor's Wood Hammer, while Flygon cannot withstand Granbull's Play Rough. I guess it's a treat that Granbull is finally useful in one of these challenges?

Mudsdale is too physically bulky however, but is OHKO'd by a super-effective too, in spite of Sandstorm being in effect. At 35 base speed, it is hard not to go first against Mudsdale, so I have a Wailord OHKO it with Water Spout for a reliable kill. Normally, Wailord isn't anywhere near speedy enough to make good use of this nuke, since Choice Scarf and easily available Sticky Web aren't tools we can play in this challenge (I guess a severely underlevelled Ariados can put up the latter in the E4 section thanks to the super-late move relearner, but who needs that).

What follows next is a cave which I personally consider to be this game's equivalent to Victory Road - why, it has all the trainers! In contrast, Mount Lanakila is mostly barren and is more like Mount Silver than anything else. The last totem Pokemon is awaiting us there, and it's actually well-worth the upload again this time!
