Overview

Colossatron is a game where you will be in control of a giant, mechanical robotic snake that is rampaging all over the world, destroying cities one after another, your task is to make it even bigger and more destructive, the colossatron is made up of numerous power cores, each having a different function such as healing, fire power and armor, a power core is distinguished by its own color and you can actually mix it up to make a new power core, the game is presented by way of a news broadcast, narrating your progress as you destroy cities one after another, the colossatron has an arch enemy, who goes by the name of General Mustache, the general is relentless and he will stop at nothing to destroy the colossatron and save the cities and the people that inhabit them, collect prisms in the cities you destroy to unlock special attacks that you can use at the stroke of a finger, collect lots of power cores and convert them into cash that you can use in your next attack.

Graphics and Sound

The graphics falls under the classic cartoon style, kinda flat but colorful and still kinda nice to look at, the playing field is on top view and kinda give a nice vantage point of the battle field, which gets crowded quickly when the battle commences, music is orchestral but kinda weak, you can barely hear it when the fighting starts, the weapon sound effects are much more dominant and easily muffles the music, when the enemies start attacking.

Gameplay

Control of the colossatron is not total by the way, you won't be firing the weapons, your responsibility is to gather power cores and attach it to the giant snake, making it stronger and more destructive, but getting the optimal setting is not really that easy, you need to combine and attach the right core to achieve an effective setting, this is where the challenge begins, depending on what you attach, you can have a long but weak colossatron or you can have a short but powerful one, more power cores doesn't necessarily mean more power for the giant snake, you also have to take into consideration that more parts means more targets for the enemies, installing the correct parts takes multiple tries really, this is the game where you really don't mind playing the same level repeatedly.

Features

Destroy cities across 7 continents, leaving a trail of destruction all over the globe, the game also features boss battles against giant mechs and gunships to name a few, there are challenges of survival against friends in a test of skill and strategy, Powerful weapons, that can be combined, the outcome of which, only your imagination is the limit, an addictive game play and a high replay value, you can play every level and try another combination, different from when you first played it.
