Becoming an elite ninja is now easy to grasp in the palm of your hands. Learn the secrets and arts of a ninja in this action and arcade mobile game called Shadow Blade. The goal here is to control your skilled ninja and reach the door of each level to win. You will encounter enemies but you can eliminate them by slashing them off. With combination of movements, you can perform special moves like Dive Attack, Running Attack, and Stealth Kills. You can also do acrobatic moves like wall bounce and double jump to reach higher platforms or discover hidden areas.

Overview

Shadow Blade is a hack and slash platform based game with cool graphics and surprisingly responsive controls, you will take control of a ninja and slowly develop it into a deadly assasin as you level up your skills and acquire fancy attack moves, you will need to slash your way across the beautifully designed levels, these levels are made up of multiple paths and check points, a variety of traps and a lot of enemies to eliminate, the early levels are easy, teaching you the basic skills and moves, but it will gradually become more complex, making the game more exciting and fun. The action is fast paced, attack moves are simple but can be combined to execute a new and cooler ones,

Graphics and Sound

Shadow Blade boasts of cool art work every level is superbly designed, graphics is simply brilliant, in game music is great by the way but the game certainly lacks sound effects, there are no special sounds that you hear when the ninja moves around the levels, but then again, if a game is this much fun, you really won't mind if you don't hear those stomps and thuds as you play along.

Gameplay

The game offers a choice of controls to use, there is the very responsive virtual button scheme that you are probably familiar with when you are playing mobile games and then there is this gesture based controls which is actually harder to use but definitely more fun once you got used to it, I started out playing the game using the virtual buttons but eventually ended up using the gesture based control scheme, the game also boasts a smooth animation of the characters and the game is simply bursting in vivid colors, a real eye candy so to speak, once you finish a level, you will be rewarded with three stars, considering you beat the level in under one minute, and got all the orbs and two secret icons in the level, I actually find this one too difficult to accomplish, the only thing missing in the game is the lack of a nice story line, it lacks depth, too shallow actually, I feel the game could have been more fun if there is a nice story that slowly unfolds as you play the game, luckily, the action and game play compensates for the almost non existent story line the game has to offer.

Features

Shadow Blade offers 40 levels of intense hack and slash fast paced game play, cool art work in every level, a choice of control schemes and some fancy ninja moves right at your finger tips, the game's replay value is quite high too, once you finish a level, you get this feeling that you have to play it again, do better and get all three stars in all the levels.

Conclusion

I really like the level designs, the artwork really looks cool, every time I finish a level, I always try to anticipate what the next one will look like, I also enjoyed the gesture based controls the game has to offer, it is a new experience on my part because I always use the virtual buttons, I never thought the gesture based controls would be this much fun to use, of course, it is much harder to use especially if you are confronted with a lot of enemies, but I got more comfortable with it over time and lots of practice, indeed this game is so much fun and very exciting, I can't wait for the sequel to come out, come on guys, check it out.
