DING DING DING!! Welcome friends to SUPER PUNCH-OUT!!
I used to love the game Punch-Out!! for the NES when I was growing up, but I always wasn't too excited about this game. It's something about the bigger sprites that I just didn't like. And especially whoever this New Mac is... he just isn't Mac to me anymore.
That being said, playing it as a game of it's own, it seems pretty great! It's just like a more polished Punch Out!!, what's not to like?
Also, it's weird that Punch Out!! has two exclamation points after it as the official name. It makes writing it in the middle of a sentence just seem weird. I'm sure if I was typing this into MS Word there would be all kinds of green squigglies telling me that my spellings fine but that's just not okay to do.
It reminds me of Reddit, which used to be called 'reddit'. Yeah, that's right, you weren't supposed to put a capital even when referring to it as the company name. That's kind of a weird choice, yeah? I'll use the old name so you see what I mean.
It means every article written about reddit looks like it has a little typo in it. Didn't it look like reddit should be capitalized? It should be now -- they've backtracked on that decision, but for all the time before that it would have just always looked a little bit off.
I like the idea of doing something different like that though... just for the hell of it, if for no other reason. One of the first songs I ever wrote I gave a bunch of different titles and subtitles just for funsies, and I had them in layered parenthesis. I don't want to say the name of the song, but you can think of it like this: Title (First subtitle [Second subtitle {Third subtitle}])
Those pointed brackets are supposed to be angle brackets, but YouTube has a terrible fear of angle brackets so I'm not allowed to use them in descriptions, hahah.
Anyways, I gotta stop rambling like this in descriptions. I've gotten into a habit lately of just free writing my thoughts as I'm working on editing or uploading videos. This part of the video making process can be a little boring sometimes, like it lacks the creativity of the recording parts, so I guess being able to journal a bit about my thoughts is a nice tiny diversion from snipping microphone clicks out of commentary tracks and mechanically filling in fields.
Thanks for stopping by friends, I hope you're enjoying the videos. I'll be back with more old video games and tangentially-related rambling soon. Have a series of wonderful afternoons until we talk next!

Super Punch-Out!![a] is a boxing video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was released on September 14, 1994 in North America and again in the same region in 1996. It was released in Europe on January 26, 1995 for the same console and in Japan in 1998 for the Nintendo Power flash RAM cartridge series and the Super Famicom. The game is also included in the GameCube version of Fight Night Round 2 as an extra game due to the inclusion of Little Mac in the game. The game was released for the Wii's Virtual Console in Europe on March 20, 2009, in North America on March 30, 2009, and in Japan on July 7, 2009. The game was also released on the New Nintendo 3DS eShop on May 5, 2016. Nintendo re-released Super Punch-Out!! in the United States in September 2017 as part of the company's Super NES Classic Edition.[2] It is the fourth game in the Punch-Out!! series, taking place after the Punch-Out!! game for the NES.
In Super Punch-Out!! the player controls Little Mac, as he fights his way to become the World Video Boxing Association champion. Players, fighting from a "behind the back" perspective, must knockout their opponent in three minutes to win. Players can launch jabs, hooks, and uppercuts against their opponents as well as block, dodge, and duck opponents' attacks. Nintendo Integrated Research and Development, led by Genyo Takeda, Minoru Arakawa and Makoto Wada, developed the game. It also featured voice acting by Charles Martinet.

Squiggy's SNES First Level Quest is a series where I attempt to beat the first level of every SNES game. Some will be chosen randomly, some chosen because I liked them when I was younger, and some chosen by viewer request. This isn't necessarily a review or first impression or anything - the only true goal is to first define "What is Level 1 in this game?" and then beat it.
