Metro Exodus {part 9} "Retrieve The Railcar" This is a great episode !!
Let's play Metro Exodus on Xbox One S and enjoy another episode of this playthrough! This is episode {part 9} of the series so far and boy it's a good one! You will enjoy this one for sure so sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. All gameplay footage is recorded using the Xbox One's built-in capture capability and then upscaled from 720p to 1080p for the best-looking image I am able to produce with the set up I have access to. Okay, so this episode starts with Artyom inside the small wooden fishing shack that we took refuge in after being chased by monsters and also having hostile men chase us into hiding here. We sleep until daytime and by the time the sun rises the men outside have now given up and gone back to whatever it is hostile bad guys do in video games when we are not looking at them... We check the map and see we are at the location we need to be to start the next main story mission. We are tasked with finding and retrieving the engineer's railcar. Outside of the fishing shack we see a small wooden dock with a rowboat moored up to it, so we enter the boat and start rowing to the next objective marker that has now appeared marked on our map. We see in front of us a large opening that leads into what appears to be some kind of storage depot. It starts to get darker as the natural sunlight disappears the deeper, we row into the building. This is a flooded area so the water level is above the ground which is why we must use the boat to enter the building until we find a place above the water level we can get out and onto. As we go through what appear to be oversized corridors, we notice dead men and women hanging from the beams above us. They are almost skeletal by this point but it's an ominous warning to stay out or be killed also! There are also strange drawings scrawled onto the walls, but one stands out and it is a white chalk line in the shape of a fish... A very crude simplistic looking fish but it is obvious it's there for a reason and that reason can only be to warn off adventurers that stray too far into the darkness. The corridors and larger spaces are lit up by the green glowing mushrooms which bring a sickness or toxic atmosphere to oppress us even more. This is a very tense environment and it's amazing!! We come to a large main hall, and we see machinery and walkways all around and above us. We exit the boat and start heading up using the walkways that are still up in place while all the time a loud growling and snarling can be heard but we don't know what it is we are actually hearing. Whatever it is it sounds big and it's not in a good mood at all... maybe those fish drawings are giving us more information than what we initially realised. I haven't seen that huge angry sea monster in a while... I'm sure that's not something to worry about... So, this is where this entire episode takes place and as I have said at the beginning it's a really great one! It has a bit of everything you could want from a let's play video and I really had a great time playing and recording this one.
