The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Part 04
0All right, I legitimately thought the boss at the end of this quest was going to be a lot harder than it was. After my struggles with the Golem, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. After finding out that the mission continued after the Golem I read and found that Golem wasn't boss of the mission it's Nithral. From what I read, this was a fight that was difficult and annoying. The article took me through the fight and what to expect. Still, I didn't want to take this on. I wondered if there was any way I could escape this mission, level-up and then restart the mission over-powered. There isn't.
I was fully expecting to have to battle this boss multiple times. In a surprising plot twist, the battle wasn't that difficult. It did help that I knew what I needed to do. I suppose it wasn't so much the difficulty of the boss, but rather the different stages. In my experience, when a boss has various stages, the battle overstays its welcome. Thankfully, I hardly knew there wee any stages in the battle at all. It was a pretty quick battle for which I appreciate.
After finishing this session, I went to the IGN walkthrough of this quest and battle. They had some really good tips that I didn't take advantage of because I have no idea what I'm doing. Apparently, there is a Cat potion that helps you see in the dark. I've scrolled past the Cat potion and never read anything about it. Not that it matters, I don't have all the ingredients necessary to craft it anyways. Though, like I said before, I have no idea what I'm doing.
This short play session actually felt really good. I wonder if this begins to change my expectations of what is coming up next. Maybe this game is manageable at its current difficulty setting. Now on to the second part of the quest, Bloody Baron.
