Torchlight 2 Gameplay On Ubuntu 15.04 (Native)
58Gameplay of Torchlight 2 running on Ubuntu 15.04 64bit natively!
Torchlight 2 has finally been released for Linux natively! It looks to be part of the big announcement of Linux games coming for SteamOS at GDC this year.
Torchlight 2 is a serious improvement over it's predecessor, and is great for playing in co-op. I highly recommend you get it if you don't already have it for Linux.
It does seem to drop below 50 fps here and there, but nothing serious enough that I would struggle to play it.
It doesn't seem to support controller hot-plugging, or my controller at all really. Works fine with Keyboard and Mouse input.
I initially had a 60fps 4K version of this video rendering, but after over 4 hours and nearing completion, my younger sister decided it would be a good idea to switch off the power at the main. For what reason is beyond me, and at this point I don't have the time for that render once more so we are stuck with this 30fps video. I'm sorry about that.
WARNING: I have no idea how this works for AMD and Intel graphics users. You may be ok, or you may suffer some peculiarities. It all depends on your drivers and how well AMD and Intel decide to make them.
The requirements for Torchlight 2 on Linux are extremely low as they should be, so you generally should be fine no matter what kind of GPU you have. Just depends on your driver quality.
