Gameplay of Dying Light running on Ubuntu 14.04 64bit NATIVELY!

Techland brings us their first Chrome Engine 6 game, and it comes with Linux support off the bat!

Please note that the recording takes quite a beating when paired with SimpleScreenRecorder. Without it, I average 50fps sometimes hitting 60.

I will admit, it has a rough beginning. Once you leave the Tower area, performance dips quite a bit. I do believe they will rectify the issue however, as the gameplay so far has been serious fun!

The game doesn't just look stunning, it controls stunningly. In all honesty, the not-moving-mouths bug and the performance dip are the only issues I've come across so far (after fixing my white screen issue that is).

If you love being on bleeding edge, are a Linux gamer, and have a craving for Zombie Survival action, then buy Dying Light for Linux! Show these cool developers some love.

If you were like me with the White screen issue, please just wipe your Home partition clean. I truly believe it's some remnant of an older Steam file or older graphics library that causes the game to incorrectly compile it's shaders. Steam forums deleted my solution to the problem, for reasons unknown to me.

WARNING: I have no idea how this works for AMD and Intel graphics users. It would appear some AMD FX processor users are running into serious issues not letting them play at all.

The requirements to play this game are very high, and rightfully so (it adds incredible detail to items laying about, long view distance, and the graphical effects on your eyesight in game are above and beyond).
