Chivalry Gameplay On Ubuntu 14.10 Linux (Native)
68Chivalry Medieval Warfare gameplay on Ubuntu 14.10 64bit! It's run at full settings at 1920x1080p.
So, it looks like Torn banner studios have finally released the Linux version of Chivalry for all of us to enjoy! It is however a beta, and not the final release.
I am actually quite impressed with this release. Unreal 3 engine games have had some pretty horrifying problems when being ported to Linux in the past.
This release almost has none of them. Textures load fast, level loading is quick, and it doesn't feel like you're running a potato as a computer!
It also seems to have cross-platform multiplayer! I am impressed. It is however a multiplayer only game. There is no story as far as I can tell (although this game has great potential for a cool singleplayer).
It does however have some game breaking bugs, like crashes upon certain actions in the games. This is to be expected though as this release is to help the developers discover these bugs.
If you love being on bleeding edge, are a Linux gamer, and have a craving for Medieval action, then buy Chivalry for Linux! Show these cool developers some love.
WARNING: I have no idea if this works for AMD and Intel graphics users. This may only work for Nvidia users. Please share your experience in the comments so others know.
