When I did this the first time just an hour ago, I thought it was new, but then I remembered seeing it in speedruns (done faster than me).
Still, for the record, it's here: you can skip the first magic gate for example by panning the camera in and walking backwards from the corner, but in a speedrun from Cid I saw it was possible to simply sideway run through somehow.
The only new part might be that it was possible with the second field, too, to escape the boss without a fight, then through the first one again, but this doesn't seem useful now. Whatever part of the game I checked, that doesn't consider Talornia dead like this.

Maybe it would be more useful to find a Valoria gate skip, so that one doesn't even need to enter Destard unless the Glyph of Valor is needed.
