Where last we left Bayo she pulled off a strange maneuver and was sent deep, deep down into the catacombs of Vigrid. For starters, here's a chest that's easy to miss. Always look behind you!

Oh boy...more flaming enemies...with even LESS room to fight on. Yeah, I lamed it out here, but screw them! I should mention, if I haven't already, technically Scarborough Fair is never unequipped from Bayo, as she'll always use it when you press Y, even though I had Onyx Roses equipped.

Onto a strange portal that's totally not going to be used! Oh hey, a literal broken bridge...guess we have no options left! The Garden of Light sure is pretty, huh? Like you've died and gone to heaven....oh wait. First time players are likely in for a shock when they realize there's technically no pits in here, Bayo walking on water the whole way. Before we advance things, look, another Alfheim! This time we can't use Bayo's signature Witch Time, but you can still dodge and use Wicked Weaves and the like. How hard can it be?!

Funny story, in my botched recording I was SO CLOSE to beating this challenge and instead botched it, and in this attempt things reversed themselves. I failed that first Alfheim, but I redeemed myself here, right? How clutch was that win against Fairness? All before it was set to roar and stun me!

With another portion of our Magic Gauge filled, AND the other half of that LP out of the way, one last mechanic I should explain that I haven't yet, since I keep forgetting to do it: taunting. Pressing L has Bayo perform a taunt. If doing it while locked onto an enemy (she usually locks onto them herself when taunting) you enrage enemies. Enraged enemies are harder to stagger, more aggressive and I think they might do more damage, but in exchange you earn far more points when fighting them. Sometimes enemies become enraged all on their own though, and I'm not sure how that triggers. be on the lookout when they start glowing orange! Its easier to see in this Alfheim challenge, but it just...happens. Taunting also refills your Magic Meter a bit, and as we've seen before, there's an Accessory that heals you when you taunt. Bayo has different taunts for different weapons, though if you hold the button down she goes into a far longer taunt ("I've got a fever, and the only cure is more dead angels!"). OK, back to all the fire and brimstone!

"Like sand in an hourglass, these are the days of our lives..." is that how that goes? So yeah....time shenanigans are ours to wield! Should go without saying that if you don't get across that bridge in time it won't go well for you. Oh and ANOTHER instant-death prompt...at least you get more time for it.

A few hazards later and we're done with this crazy stage. I feel like I forgot one Witch Heart fragment though...seems odd to only give you three. Oh well! Onto this foreboding coliseum!
