Aaaaand we're back, introducing yet another important character, Cereza. She's adorable, isn't she? Gotta love that "I come from my house" line! Really, its nice to see Bayo a little caught off-guard here as only a child can do. And as for that taunt...yes, I am very mature.

Sadly, Cereza is responsible for a rather annoying section that's essentially an escort mission. Enemies are in Purgatorio, and Bayo can't go into Purgatorio and protect Cereza at the same time (even though she already DID that just moments ago!) So....we'll have to smack them around with...real-world objects. I don't much get it to be honest with you, but its...different, at least? Those signposts are a pain to wield though. No ,I can't move any faster, and if I dodge I drop it...

Next, a chase from a Beloved...yeah, these gates are a pain... The camera isn't helping matters either. Have no fear though, cuz we're through and found...another portal? And now its time to duke it out with angels without having to worry about pesky lampposts and....Cereza, get out of the way! I know she's just a kid but does she HAVE to follow me around when I'm trying to fight. Fearless and Fairness are pains enough without a kid getting in the crossfire!

You just KNEW that Beloved wasn't down and out yet, right? And it appears this one is a pedo....uuuuuuh. That's a...big Beloved too. Thankfully, its not TOO much trouble, outside of it being so huge the camera has issues now and again. Funny how Bayo has her clothes back on while Gomorrah is chomping down on the thing....hey, waitaminute!

This chase sequence...feels a little off. Its really hard to tell the perspective on those beams, and they HURT! It doesn't help that dodging takes you out of Beast Within AND slows the game down a bit...oh well.

So uh, how DO you take down a fake Bayo? Taking a page from Austin Powers, its time for Sexy Dance Fighting. The impostor doesn't like being outdone, I guess, and is ready to brawl! Yeah, don't give her an inch or she'll let loose more beams on you, as well as what seem to be Silettos. Defeat her and then....uh....O///O

Meet perhaps one of the more infamous enemies from the first game, Joy. Bayo clones in more ways than one, I took this one out incredibly quickly, but trust me...they are a major threat on par with Grace and Glory. They have a whip they can strike you with that also functions as a sword, and can separate their weapon and have it surround you, firing fragments off to keep you off balance. And what's worse...they can duplicate themselves, and each new clone get a new health bar! If you're unlucky they can do this as their FIRST MOVE after the fight starts but uh...I got lucky here. Their unique Torture Attack is one to behold though... You gain the final fragment of the Gold LP by defeating Joy.

Before we go, check behind that portal! I believe a Witch Heart fragment is in that one. Let's head back to our world...wait, where did Cereza get off to? Oh, she's here with Luka. Poor, easily distracted Luka. I gotta give Yuri Lowenthal props for transitioning from flustered to serious as Luka gets over Bayo's teasing.

This storm is really acting up, isn't it? Enough to separate Luka, Cereza and Bayo for now. We really ought to do something about that...

So yeah, as you can see, I did FAR better here than that first attempt. That Joy fight...did not go well for me. Onward!
