Confession time...chapters 6 and 7 were fully recorded and meant to go up on Saturday, the 2nd...and my footage was all wonky. Completely ruined, no point in putting it up. SO...I am replaying those chapters on this file, and for this chapter in particular, I'll have some explaining to do when certain rewards don't pop up.

But first, back to Rodin's! Again! After Chapter 5, visiting Rodin's shop will let you know that new Techniques are available, namely Bat Within and Crow Within. Bat Within was already purchased in my previous run, but I'll still go over its description in the shop. Basically, its a last resort of sorts when it comes to dodging. If you dodge RIGHT as you're hit, Bayo will transform into bats briefly, and narrowly dodge the move, with no damage taken. It requires frame-perfect timing, but if you can pull it off well, alongside normal dodging, you COULD be untouchable...COULD.

Crow Within...will be demonstrated later. Its very situational to be sure, but as it says, you can fly briefly. So that's cool, I guess. Now, onward to The Gates of Paradise!

Right away, look behind you! That chest contains one third of another Gold LP. Upon replay, you get tons of Halos in exchange. After failing to catch a crow, let's move on. This stage is a partial tutorial of sorts for Beast Within, starting with some pressure switches we must step on in quick succession. Beast Within takes a little finesse to control, so these are good ways to get you used to movement.

As we enter this next area, there's a fairly well-hidden pile of rocks in the bottom left uh...corner. This chest contains another piece of the LP. And now its time for more Inspired....ugh. Yeah, that Angel Weapon wasn't going to help much here. Now, in replays of this stage, I've found that the Onyx Roses work well here. When the Inspired circle around like that, shooting them will eventually knock them out of the sky. Don't ask me why we can kill one Inspired but NEED Malphas to come out and eat the other one. Then again, I hate these things, so I'm not complaining!

Hey, there's that girl! Did SHE trigger that spear room of death? I don't trust her one bit! And then there's not one pair but TWO pairs of Grace and Glory. C'mon, now! At least they drop Green Laurels...

SO...maybe Grace and Glory's Angel Weapons are SUPER impractical. That one in particular unleashes a huge wave of electricity when charged up...not that I got much of a chance. And here's another demonstration of how far Beast Within can jump.

Who's ready for ANOTHER drawn-out cinematic of Bayo beating up cannon fodder?! And then...new powers as the plot demands! Apparently Bayo can erect a barrier and then....astral project...herself into Purgatorio to fight off the angels. Or something. This is about the only time in the series that she does something like this, by the way. Well, makes for an interesting sequence at least, with the amazing Fly Me to the Moon as mood music!

If you let the angels attack that barrier well....use your imagination as to what happens next. But just WHO is this girl?! I guess we'll find out next time, huh?
