(CCPlays) Cold Waters Dot MOD | Y2K NATO Campaign | Part 23: More Heavy Traffic in Shallow Waters
Previously, in the Cold Waters (DotMod) Y2000 NATO campaign, we are trying to push through the strait of Formosa to reach our patrol area, but there are a LOT of traffic, and we sank some, and ran form some, when we hit a log glitch.
Due to a log interruption, we resume our voyage, where we are still trying to sneak through the Straits of Formosa, and we just met another sub group.
We found the Romeo, and fired a torpedo, only to find a Ming almost next to it. Quickly added another torpedo, and performed evasive maneuvers in shallow waters. Both were destroyed.
Hit ANOTHER sub group, a Ming that got mixed with a couple merchants. We killed that.
We then got intercepted by yet ANOTHER sub group, and we killed a Romeo after submerging.
We never made it to the Spratlys, as we couldn't get out of the channel.
04-OCT-00 Mission was declared a failure. New priority mission: return to Guam to re-arm.
Except we have yet ANOTHER sub group to deal with before we can go... and killed ANOTHER Romeo.
And we FINALLY got out of the area and reached Guam for reloads.
05-OCT-00 New priority mission received.
MISSION: Drop another SEAL team at Yulin, Hainan Island, China. Yes, we did something like this earlier.
Loading SEALs means we have to go out with NO reloads. I elected to take 6 torpedoes and 2 decoys.
We managed to dodge EVERYTHING and arrived at deployment zone without encountering ANYONE.
Three ships, plus air patrol dotted the area.
