1Previously, in the Cold Waters (DotMod) Y2000 NATO campaign, we had destroyed yet another PLAN supply convoy.

21-OCT-00 Received new priority mission
MISSION: Interdict PLAN Wolfpack attacking civilian shipping near Japan between Okinawa and mainland Japan
22-OCT-00 Arrived in the patrol area
Located possible target and intercepted it.
Upon dive, sonar quickly IDed 2 Song class subs below the layer... and way too close... 4-6 km away. We went above the layer and launched two torpedoes in a dogleg for 4km to NE, hoping to drop them through the layer in surprise. We also moved to the west at 10 kts in case they retaliate.
Didn't quite work, as the enemy subs detected our torpedo as they approached and did retaliate, but due to our torpedoes taking a dogleg path, those torpedoes aren't coming anywhere near our sub. We guided the two torps in and the two Songs are quickly dealt with. They were so noisy, I can direct the fire from above the layer.
But that feels too easy...
We slowly sank back below the layer...
And found 2 Kilos trying to exit the area. Two more torpedoes were launched and guided into the two PLAN subs. There were no survivors.
Mission accomplished! Wolfpack was destroyed in a clean sweep!
And the war continues...
