The Romulans are calling for my head. Apparently, my doppelganger is causing a bit of a problem in the neutral zone. Starfleet Intelligence has tracked him to an abandoned pirate base in the Maaz system. The only way I can prove my innocence is to capture my doppelganger's ship and tow it to their representative in the system. THEN they may believe me...
-----
NOTE: I played this about 4-5 times, and each time I did something wrong. Either I blew up my doppelganger, or I blew up the base, or I didn't have enough marines. You get to see all that in the video.
NOTE: I didn't notice the thing about towing UNTIL I hit "mission briefing" in the comm panel. It wasn't mentioned in the pre-mission briefing.
And yes, you really do need ANOTHER ship of light cruiser or larger. I bought that with my prestige at the end of the previous video.
In the end, we ended up with this...
-----
I have a feeling my doppelganger will be armed exactly like me, so I chose to deliberately handicap myself... I went to spacedock and turned in ALL of the extra provisions I bought before. Extra parts, extra marines, extra missile reloads, extra shuttles, all got turned in. I even downgraded the missiles back to medium speed. Then I gave the extra marines and reloads to the Azov.
We headed toward the base, and soon a CFF plus and an NCL arrived but their IFF was a bit wrong. We engaged and destroyed both. Then my doppelganger arrived.
The fight was not too hard due to I handicapping myself. I ordered Azov to capture the target, then setup a weapons group to shoot only the drone launchers, leaving phasers as drone defense. I also turned up defensive tractors to 2, ECM to 2, and that's about all I can do to confront my doppelganger.
And the fight ended up pretty much what I expected. I start launching early, as I want him defensive. Instead of a large salvo of missiles, I launch them two at a time. He handled most of my missiles, but then he can't deal with Azov's salvo, and we started beaming in marines. As expected, he only had 10. We keep taking down his shields and give him small amounts of damage and send more marines. Soon, we have his ship half-dead and captured. Marines were able to stun him on the bridge.
We then dragged the half-dead ship to the Romulan Command Eagle with our tractor beam and hailed the Romulan ship. They were satisfied that we were telling the truth. We left our doppelganger (the ship and my counterpart) with them and left the area.
Starfleet Command was pleased that we managed to resolve this situation in our favor.
Then it's time to check what other missions are out there...
