Dark Destiny is a King's Field fangame by DMPDesign made in the Sword of Moonlight editor. The game follows the story of Dias Bagil, the man who would go on to become KF1US's Necron, as he seeks to unlock the darkness hidden deep inside him.

Time for a dimly lit cavern exploration journey.

This cavern is so twisty and confusing for me that I'll just say this...by the time you reach a bridge going north, you should have picked up three items in this cave which are a Moon Stone, Truth Glass, and Armor of Darkness. The latter is an armor with some high elemental resists, but casts an auto-dark status on you.

As you go on that bridge to the north, if you look down to the east, you may see a spot which you can drop down to. If you want to, you can head down there now and get what's there, but make sure you have a way out (Star Gate or the Figure of Guyra). Down there is the first Dark Crystal which grants the first Dark spell, Dark Bolt. Despite it saying it costs 8 mp, it actually costs 14 mp. This spell auto targets the nearest monster and creates a shockwave around it, damaging it and any other monsters in its effect range. Doesn't get a whole lot of use from me as it feels weak, but that could be because of my low magic stat in relation to my strength stat right now.

Anyways, on that bridge going north, it leads to another cave with forks going west and east. West leads to a save point (Not a bad idea to use this) while east leads to a hole into another part of the caves.

In this new area, keep fighting east while nuking any Earth Dragons you run across. You'll want to locate a room with scythe dingbats and poisonous pools of water, then find a glowing yellow rock jutting out of a wall. Use your pickaxe on it to get an Earth Stone.

Backtrack west and head north deeper into the caves. The path should end at a door that would be sealed if all the Earth Dragons in the area aren't killed (Believe there are a total of six?). With all of them killed, the door opens, leading to a pair of Earth Dragons inside. These two are slightly stronger than the ones you've faced off with already and both drop items. One drops an Earth Crystal, the 3rd one picked up. This grants the Ground Wave spell. This spell costs 18 mp and is basically Earth Wave from the King's Field games. Doesn't have anywhere near the range though so save it for bunched up groups of enemies.

The other item dropped? A Spider Blade. In KF1US, this was a very rare drop from the Earth Elementals (AKA what the Earth Dragons are). Here though? Just seems to be an everyday drop. Works for me!

Spider Blade is a pretty solid weapon with a decent Smash stat, a massive Stab stat, Earth elemental attack power, and regenerates mp when worn. This is going to be my main weapon for a very long time, believe me.

Also in this room? The Gaia Stone that the fairy queen wanted. I go to return this to her after I loop around the cave entrances so I can grab that Dark Crystal (Wanted to save getting it until I was ready to leave the area).

First stop on my warping spree was to the golden fountain so I can drop off the second Light Crystal and refill my flasks, then warp out via my Star Gate (And take my key with me since I'll be running into another pedestal in the next area) and return to the fairy queen, dropping off Rowena's Bloom with the lady at the saw mill to get Herb Soup in return.

Upon giving the fairy queen the Gaia Stone, she creates a path leading to the lagoon of Atainius.

Going to be doing quite a bit there next time!
