Dark Destiny is a King's Field fangame by DMPDesign made in the Sword of Moonlight editor. The game follows the story of Dias Bagil, the man who would go on to become KF1US's Necron, as he seeks to unlock the darkness hidden deep inside him.

If you'd like to play this game, the full installer can be found here:

Filled up my flasks at the golden fountain off screen and saved up at the save point closest to Central Village.

In any case, today's venture is to the East Coast area located, obviously, east of where I start across the bridge I lowered.

As you enter into the new area, you have a lot of paths to choose from right away. For starters, head north all the way to a dead end and a large spider. Search the northern wall once that spider is dead for a hidden passage leading into a room with a pair of spiders and a mambo size set of vines. The vines HURT. We're talking roughly half of my hp or close to it each hit on top of a chance of paralysis. Almost got killed because I was caught off guard by how much damage one hit did.

Killing the giant vine nets you a Forest Folk Necklace, an accessory with high poison resistance.

Head back towards the start, but go east at a four way intersection with two narrow paths. You should end up at the house of Harris Carvito. He's not home, but you can take the Crystal inside before exiting and taking the path northward which will lead to the home of Teo & Gigi Budwell. Teo is not home, but Gigi is.

Talking to Gigi reveals that she climbed a big tree near a mill along with her friend Sandler. She fell, but was caught by a tree...or so she says. Sandler says it was a man. We'll have to investigate this when we're by that mill later on, but for now, it's back to the start of this area.

If you head straight east from the entrance, you'll find sealed door with a pentagram etched on it. Nothing can be done with this for now so check out the next path just to the southeast of the entrance. This leads deeper into the area and, after running into a pair of scythe wielding dingbats, you'll find a room with some stairs going up to a few chests, paths going east & north, and some skeletons. These skeletons are quite strong, easily knocking off nearly a 1/3rd of my max hp if they connect.

The chests up the stairs contain yet another locked chest, a mimic (Not too hard to kill), and 250 gold.

While the path east leads to a dead end, you can look inside to see...Sandler? Oh good god kid, you sure know how to get yourself into a bind. We'll have to find a way to the other side to open the jail cell for him.

For now, backtrack just a bit and take the northern path into a cemetary for the military guards of King Harvine III. Lots of hidden walls here, but most lead to either nothing or a locked chest. There is a grave with a Dragon Crystal on it though.

Keep on following the stairs and you should find a set taking you up and outside to some water. Before dropping, make sure you aim for the small island and that your Star Key is in a pedestal as you will need to gate out eventually, but not right away.

Just like KF1US, the Shiden is lying on the ground for you to pick up. It's pretty much like how it was in KF1US with only two stats having anything worthwhile for attack power (slash & wind), but those two stats are extremely high and it's as light as Necron's Blade lv2. This ends up getting equipped right away.

Unlike KF1US though, you can take a path leading to the nearby lighthouse. Climbing nets you a reward.

More next time!
