I was on the fence, but I was also very intrigued by the potential of delaying friendlies, so I ultimately pitied it. End of month is going to be rough if Enna wants me to pity as well.

There are more nuances than I expected when I tried different strats with his BT against a ST boss. The focal point is actually on "ST". More on that later.

Again, I like the old info page more because this new UI does not even tell you what type the boss attacks are and how much accelerated FG charge there is.

Boss: Omega Weiss
Boss is immune to its own "burning" debuff.
+4% (?): On player action
30%: ATK/DEF/BRV dmg up
FA: Swipe++ (guaranteed hit, melee AOE BRV+HP)
- inflicts the framed "Flame" debuff on all player characters
* "Flame": (1) cannot gan BRV
(2) HP poison
(3) prevents HP recovery
* This debuff has no duration (permanent)

FT: 10T
- boss SPD up/AD down
- action change: always use "Swipe" aside from having red aura
* Swipe: (break rec./guaranteed hit) BRVgain + melee AOE BRV+HP

Weakness: (cancel FT)
FA that deals melee/range BRV dmg

HP Thresholds:
80/50/20%: Red aura
While the boss has the red aura up:
- SPD up
- cannot be defeated
Red aura is dispelled when Weiss uses "Flare shot" on his next turn
* "Flare shot": (guaranteed hit) BRVgain + (non-melee) AOE BRV+HP x2
- marking it as non-melee, because it only increases Reno FR by 20%
- this attack is very devastating, but survivable with enough mitigation

Other attacks:
When the boss does not have the red aura nor active FT, Weiss would only use 1 or 2 different simple ST attack (possibly HP attacks as well). This is important to know when you are using counter teams.

General Strat:
Let me preface this by saying that I am doing a full counter team for this mostly because I want to test ally delay on a ST boss with Reno BT. There are far easier and faster methods of taking this boss down.

In general, there are two things that need to be taken care of:
1. The FA debuff "Flame"
2. Letting the boss move and dissipate the red aura, taking the devastating AOE attack

Number 1is rather simple. Having a cleanse or debuff evasion CA would be enough. The debuff itself can be dodged (not the actual FA though). Alternatively you can race for FT.

Number 2 needs to be dealt with because without the boss moving and doing the attack, Weiss simply would refuse to die. It is up to you whether you want to take it on each threshold or at the end though, since there is not an actual HP gate. You can burst him down all the way to 1% and then take the attacks and deal with it that way, depending on how you approach this fight.
Mind you that this attack hits very hard and there are 2 HP attacks. Without intervention, you would most likely get broken. If you don't have enough mitigation and get broken, you will die.
With this counter team, Reno's pyramid would normally prevent dmg. Occasionally if his debuff is not on, Cor's protection (also prevent breaks) and Rubi's mitigation + C88 would allow you to face tank this attack (possibly twice). Since my Rubi off-turn heals with a C sphere and Cor provides HP regen, I can DPS without a need to use a turn to heal.

No cancelling boss FT? Why Rubi FR?
Because Weiss changes his actions to AOE attacks only (red aura is also AOE), which nets me 3 procs for Cor. Also boss, moves faster with SPD up and AD down. As a result, I opted for delaying all FR echoes to the end for more dmg and not cancelling boss FT.

Having multiple off-turn attacks means Rubi FR generally gives me more per turn. Besides, Reno can be true enchanted with fire, but Rubi cannot be enchanted with thunder.

Nuances regarding Reno BT against different stages (ST boss)
First Reno BT only lasts for 6T. 6T is always difficult to manage if you want to use his FR as well.

The first strat I tried with Reno BT is actually (with Luna LDCA) FR- BT+ - BT phase and try frontloading all team delays at the start. The rationale is to let the boss move as much as possible while countering him and getting FR bonuses.
I quickly discovered that this is not possible on a ST boss if they are not immune to break delays. The problem is, the boss is destined to recover from breaks during a BT phase. When he does, breaking him puts Reno back to the front with a reduced number of boss turns behind him, partially sabotaging Reno's delays beforehand. Boss attacks having high BRV dmg/recovery certainly does not help as well.
My assumption is that only when you have a stage with more than 1 boss would frontloading delays be a viable strat (or a boss that prevents break delays). Tangling them up with each others' turn may be the way to utilise this idea.

Another problem with Reno against ST boss is that even though his HP+ has 11 dumps, it only has 1 AOE BRV attack. It needs serious help on a ST boss or needs hitting multiple targets to get to its full dmg.
