Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil w/ 3D spatial sound in Dhewm3 🎧 (OpenAL Soft HRTF audio)

This is Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil with OpenAL Soft's HRTF and EFX in Dhewm3. RoE might be one the biggest cases of damage control I've ever seen with an expansion pack. Nerve Software knew that a lot of people were disappointed with Doom 3 up until the Hell level, so what did they do? They made a set of levels more in line with the last third of the main campaign. The pacing is lightning-fast thanks to the Super Shotgun that's somehow even MORE overpowered than the one in Brutal Doom. There's also a lot less PDAs and audio logs, which I think everyone will agree was the worst, most unnecessary part of Doom 3.
Unfortunately, Dhewm3's bugs come to a head in Resurrection of Evil. No matter what I do, it keeps crashing after Erebus Labs 6 as shown in the video. I can never beat RoE unless I start over in vanilla Doom 3 since Dhewm3 saves are not backwards-compatible. Fuck this janky-ass port.
Since I devoted my Doom 3 video to a Twitter rant about Creative, I'll shed light on Doom 3's binaural audio in this video instead. First of all, I don't think it's as good as I used to. I've dropped it from "A+" to "A-" since it sounds nowhere near as good as Quake 4. It does sound about even with Quake 4's multiplayer, however, which for some reason had less accurate 3D positional audio than in single-player. There is a bad bug in Erebus Labs 5 where the occlusion effect in the toxic area (the ONLY occlusion effect in all of Doom 3) remains until you restart the game. It should be noted that you don't need Dhewm3 for spatialized audio in Doom 3, it's just for the convenience of having reverb as well.
