https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/a-c/achron22 Certain legends ring within film, gaming, books and music and we know their names by heart, Doom is generally the same way since wads we remember from so long ago, the memories come flooding back, and as someone who played The Master Levels all of the authors named are forever etched with me including the legendary John Anderson (Dr. Sleep) who's wad here was one of the top 10 from 1994, placing 3rd.

Released originally on June 10th, 1994, I'm using the V2.2 release from July 1995, It's the 2nd level of what was supposed to have been Dr. Sleep's Inferno episode that never was finished, the massive green marble church is crawling with Lost Souls, Shotgunners, Imps, Demons and other horrors. Acheron is a standout from 1994/1995 wads in that Anderson was aiming to make the wad look realistic with its lighting similar to how his Master Level's submissions were made, my only issue with Acheron is its very cryptic progression as post video it took an hour and twenty minutes to finish the wad.

[[I knew well of Acheron because it was among the first wads I downloaded in the older days as a Teen alongside Scythe and several others, so naturally I had to cover it during the Cacoaward special, Acheron is also one of the few wads that I selected after I had remembered it as it was very difficult to picture it and the name when I was researching for the cacoaward special, I wish sometimes I could go back in time to the simpler times honestly because I had the Doom95 launcher, This wad I also often play with various mods to keep the experience fresh]]
