A short video checking out the performance test in Dawn of War 2 on both Windows 8 and Ubuntu 14.04 64bit. [benchmark]

On Ubuntu's side, DoW2 is being run via Wine 1.7.30 through PlayOnLinux. On Windows side, DoW2 is running natively.

Ubuntu has the 340.46 drivers.
Windows has the 340.43 drivers.

Previously, it was impossible to get DoW2 running in Wine at all. Now, after SEGA removed GFWL we are able to run it in Wine!

The interesting thing to see here in this benchmark is that Wine was able to hold a higher minimum framerate, and on the average and maximum framerates it wasn't far behind Windows (considering we're running through overhead when using Wine).

My own experience with DoW2 in Wine/PlayOnLinux is that it is playable from beginning to end. However, I'm not sure where the online multiplayer stands. I haven't tried that yet.

I apologize in advance if I've made any mistakes, I did the comparison to the best of my knowledge and hopefully have a consistent set of constants and variables in place to ensure this test is beneficial to you, the viewer.
