Changing your iCloud email address is a simple process that can be done directly from your iPhone or iPad using the Settings app. This can be useful if you want to update your Apple ID with a new iCloud address or replace an old one no longer in use. It’s important to note that your iCloud email is tied to your Apple ID, so changing it affects how you sign in to Apple services across your devices.

To begin, open the Settings app and tap on your Apple ID profile at the top of the screen. From the Apple ID menu, go to Sign-In & Security. Here, you’ll see your current iCloud email address listed. If you want to change it, tap on Add Email or Phone Number.

Next, select Add an Email Address and type in the new iCloud email you’d like to associate with your Apple ID. If the email is not already in use and meets Apple’s criteria, tap Continue. Apple will send a verification code to that new address. Check your inbox and enter the code to confirm ownership.

After the new email has been verified, you can make it your primary Apple ID email. Go back to the email list, tap on the current primary address, and select Remove from Account. If the system prevents removal, first make the new email your primary, then proceed to remove the old one.

Once done, your Apple ID and iCloud email will be updated across all Apple services, including iMessage, FaceTime, and iCloud backup.
