Due to the limitations of my recorder, this case will also be split into two parts.

Cole and Roy are given a new assignment; Investigate the shooting in an nightclub called 111 Club whose victims were found carrying some of the military-issue morphine. Upon investigating the club and questioning the remaining staff, Cole and Roy learn that the club was owned by a former Marine and war veteran named Eddie McGoldrick who was also killed in the shooting with Cole also finding three military-issue BAR rifles and military-issue cigarettes in the club's backroom, connecting the shooting to the robbery of S. S. Coolridge, a ship that brought US Marines who fought in the Pacific Theater back to the United States via China. While investigating, Cole also learns that two of the musicians killed in the shooting used to play with recently deceased Cornell Tyree and Tyrone Lamont and four of them used to frequently play in Blue Room jazz club. Intending to eliminate the possibility that musicians were somehow connected with the shooting, Cole and Roy head to Blue Room where Cole questions Elsa Lichtmann but ultimately leaves without any new information. Realizing that Mickey Cohen must know something due to him and Lenny Finkelstein leading the morphine distibution, Roy suggests that they visit him in Mocombo Club which he frequents. However, Cole decides to hold that off until morning, claiming that he wants to check something with Elsa. Later that evening, he follows her to her apartment building and visits her, ending up sleeping with her with Roy having witnessed Cole entering the building. Next morning, Cole meets up with Roy and two detectives head towards Mocombo Club where they question Mickey Cohen who denies any knowledge of the morphine's current location or shooting at the club with two detectives once again leaving empty-handed. Next, they return to Hollywood precinct as journalists swarm its front in the wake of public uncovering of Brenda Allen sex scandal in which Administrative Vice is heavily implicated. As they enter, they request a manifest listing all of S. S. Coolridge's passangers and cargo on the day of the robbery, confirming that cigarettes and rifles found in 111 Club were indeed hauled off the ship with Cole also noticing that the ship carried some of his old war buddies such as Courtney Sheldon and Jack Kelso. As Cole continues to search the manifest, a police officer rushes into the room, claiming that a sniper wielding an automatic rifle is shooting at a commercial bus on North Bronson Avenue, Hollywood. Cole and Roy head there and subdue the shooter after flanking his position. Upon searching the shooter's corpse, Cole finds a notebook revealing that the attack was actually a planned hit on the bus driver, former Marine and another one of Cole's old commrades named Felix Alvaro with the notebook also revealing that Mickey Cohen ordered the hit. Upon interrogating Alvaro, Cole learns that Cohen most likely wants him dead due to his unit's involvement in morphine distribution. Afterwards, Cole traces Jack Kelso's adress and picks him up alongside Roy, taking him back to Hollywood station in order to interrogate him about his involvement with S. S. Coolridge robbery and the violence perpetrated by Mickey Cohen as he tries to force Marines to hand the morphine over. However, Jack remains uncooperative during the ordeal, claiming that he doesn't know anything about the robbery and the resulting violence in Los Angeles. As interrogation progresses, a police officer enters the room, claiming that another shooting took place in an diner on West Sunset Boulevard with Cole and Roy immediately racing there...
