Another case where I upload the video several days after recording it. (Also, I need to learn to write shorter video descriptions...) I pretty much covered the remaining powerups and stuff, but there is still one last thing I wanted to do before taking on the fortress...show off the other secondary areas.

First comes Commander Yammark's secondary area. It's above a bottomless pit like the final section of his stage, but it's definitely tougher. Either Nightmare effect will be active all through this area, and in my case, it was Rainy Turtloid's, which makes rain fall from the sky that causes you to move slower if you're going to the right. The area itself is infamous for one thing: a series of three tricky air-dashes. You pretty much have to come here with the Blade Armor, especially if you don't have any Parts that would make it easier. If you have the Shadow Armor here, well, say good-bye to the rest of your lives. Of course, Dynamo shows up again at the end of it.

Next is Ground Scaravich's, which poses no real threat at all, especially this far into the game. It's another virtual reality area, with some Nightmares, some Nightmare *effects*, and a nice purple color. There are a couple of spike pits here as well as a Reploid that can be tricky to get, but really, this place is easy.

Metal Shark Player's secondary area, on the other hand...dang. This is the first time I was stymied by a Nightmare effect!! I normally don't find this place much of a problem, but...I had Ground Scaravich's Nightmare effect active here in order to show off an alternate method of getting across the pit before the portal (and wasting a heck of a lot of video time doing so), but it also caused me so much trouble in the secondary area, I just gave up on it and swapped it out for Blizzard Wolfang's Nightmare effect (which, incidentally, doesn't even occur in the secondary area). The secondary area itself is an autoscrolling area with a conveyor belt and the ever-present trash compactor, which *would* be horrible...but you get to do it in a Ride Armor. The Ride Armor makes this place much less threatening, unless of course you have brown crates in your way that you can't destroy with the armor! The main threat here isn't getting crushed from the top, but rather from the side, because the area auto-scrolls. Ground Scaravich's crates make this ten times likely to happen, mind you. So Metal Shark Player's secondary area can be very easy or very difficult, depending on how you go about it.

That's about it for the secondary areas. Everything I didn't cover in this video, I did either while getting powerups in Part 10 or playing through the game normally in one of the other videos. Gate's Laboratory is next.
