Last time, we both started and finished the very short 'Present Day' era. It presented as a arcade-style fighting game and we helped our protagonist, 'Masaru Takahara' learn everyone's moves. Welp, that was seven protagonists and seven eras. So I guess the game is unceremoniously over, right? Nope! We've unlocked an eighth character... Who can this be? What's going to happen when we beat this one? And why weren't they included in the original group? Only one way to find out. Let's jump right in...

CHAPTER 20 - OERSTED (MIDDLE AGES)

The chapter opens... In this Middle Ages setting, we learn that there was once a 'Lord of the Dark' that plagued the kingdom of Lucrece. A legendary hero named Hasshe appeared and along with Uranus the priest, they defeated the Lord of the Dark.

In the next scene, we now meet our protagonist, Oersted. He is a promising young warrior who has qualified for the semi-finals in the King's tournament. Oersted will fight against some pirate-y bandit guy, just use 'Valorous Slash' around two times. That should do it.

Now it's the final match. The king declares that whoever wins the tournament will get his daughter's hand in marriage. Oersted is up against 'Streibough' a powerful wizard. Though you should be able to beat him just as easy. Use Valorous Slash twice or so.

In the next scene, you'll be alone with princess Alethea. Just as things are getting good, a demon will show up saying the Lord of Dark has returned. He will take princess Alethea and fly off. The king is thrilled that you're willing to go save her. As you leave the castle, Streibough will join you.

There's plenty of loot in the castle. But I'm told it will help you in the final stage if you leave the treasures be. So I'm going to attempt it without any of the castle's treasures.

To give a brief rundown of what you need to do here:
1) Go to Hero's Rest and speak with Hasshe
2) Go to Fugalia Village and recruit Uranus
3) Head back to Hero's Rest and recruit Hasshe.
4) Head to the summit to get Hasshe's sword.

May not sound like much, but this takes me roughly 50 minutes to complete. One important thing to take note: there is an incredibly strong monster in Hero's Rest called the 'Raging Bear'. Don't bother fighting this monster until you've recruited Hasshe. It's just too strong.

After recruiting Hasshe however, you should definitely use these guys to gain levels quickly. You'll want to level grind Oersted and Streibough to Level 8. I think we might be about a third to maybe halfway through with the Middle Ages, but who knows.
