Live A Live Remake - Ch. 16 - The First (Prehistory)
Last chapter was definitely the 'Act II' of Prehistory. The bandits we saw earlier arrived at Pogo's village, looking for Beru and causing all sorts of trouble. Pogo was banished for hiding Beru, but Beru ended up getting kidnapped again anyway. We took a small detour to beat King Mammoth, the option boss of this era. Now it's time to get back to it!
CHAPTER 16 - THE FIRST (PREHISTORY)
Ok, so we left off in the cave entrance after beating King Mammoth. You'll now be able to simply hop over the pit that opened up earlier. It won't take long before you arrive at their village. You'll notice someone standing guard, but you can't get close to them. Instead, you'll climb up a small ridge to take a look.
Gori will notice that there are also gorilla women being kidnapped. Head back down the ridge and Gori will come charging down, plowing through all the guards here. You can now access the village. There are three cave entrances here: left, center and right. The entrance to the right is the correct one. Entering the other two will trigger an immediate battle.
Once you enter through the right, you'll see Gori and the six gorilla women he is now guarding. You'll need to speak to him three times in order to get him to snap out of it. Now that we have Gori back, we can take one last detour.
If we head back to the first cave's entrance, back at the Wildlands, you'll notice a rock a little off to the left that has a face. This rock has been here the whole time, but it's secret is only accessible now. You'll notice you can interact act with it (it'll ask you to press A or whatever). It will appear as though nothing will happen, however you need to do this exactly 100 times.
This was made a little complicated for me, as there was apparently a monster sitting right on top of this. So tapping A kept triggering a battle. On the hundredth tap, it will pause slightly and you'll hear a click sound. Go all the way west, near where the wandering crafter is located. You'll now notice a cave has opened up here.
At the end of the cave here, you'll encounter what looks like a pane of glass, or maybe a large monolith. You'll need a 'bone' in order to do this. It will prompt you to choose an item. If you choose 'bone', you'll receive the 'Rock of Rocks', an accessory that greatly raises your Special Attack. Now we're complete.
Make the trip back to where we saw Gori and his gorilla harem. You'll notice the doors here will have little skulls on them. When you come to the door with the larger skull, this is the 'point of no return'. If you proceed to the next screen, you'll proceed to attempt to finish the Prehistory scenario.
Anywho, watch the scenes play out. You'll eventually be forced to fight a large T-Rex called 'Odo'.
Boss Battle - Odo
If you've done everything I've done, this battle should be no problem. At level 16, Pogo learns a very strong attacked called 'Bing Bang Boom'. Using this attack twice should be more than enough to finish off Odo.
Watch the scenes play out. I'm not exactly sure what's happening, but it certainly looks (and sounds) like Pogo and Beru boned, which is a little odd. But then again, a lot of things in this scenario have been a little odd.
