So last time, we took a trip to a land before kings and kingdoms, Prehistory. There, we met our protagnist, Pogo and his trusted friend Gori. Pogo is now of age and faces the test of hunt or be banished. Elsewhere, we saw Beru, a beautiful woman held captive by a gang of bandits. She is able to escape and seemingly makes her way to Pogo's village. Pogo discovers her one night in the storage room, however he does not turn her in. Instead, he attempts to share his room and bed with her. Crazy caveman hijinks and all without actual words. What's gonna happen? Let's dive in...

CHAPTER 15 - BANISHED (PREHISTORY)

So we were able to hunt in the last chapter. But that's not why we're being banished. I've divided up this chapter into three easy objectives:

1) Play the haystacks game, then go to the crafting room and craft anything needed. You won't have too many chances after this to craft items. Here's a quick breakdown on crafting.

Crafting Recipe Created Item
Bone + Hard Rock Stone Knife
Bone + Stone Knife Quick Spear
Dried Skins + Stone Knife Wildheart Armour
Bone + Pelt Beastskin Cap
Dried Skins + Hard Rock Bang Glove
Beast Horn + Bone Rough Bands
Beast Fang + Dried Skins Laughing Mask
Pelt + Stone Knife Leather Strap
Hard Stone + Stone Knife Fertility Charm
Leather Strap + Stone Knife Fury Knife

This is supposed to be a complete list of everything you can craft, but I don't see the 'Stone Axe' we made last time.

2) Continue story until you're free to walk around the Wildlands again

After crafting, the radar will tell you to head through the north gate and then to speak to the guy at the north exit here. The bandits we saw using Fred Flintstone cars will come speeding in. It's hard to sus out exactly what they're expressing, but I would imagine they're here looking for Beru.

The village elder seems to claim she's not here, but that doesn't last long. You'll have to first fight five bandits, followed by the bandit's leader, Zaki. Beru will join you for these fights. After the fight concludes, the elder is very mad at Pogo and banishes all three of them.

Now that we're free to roam the Wildlands, we'll grind until we get Pogo to around level 8. The sun will quickly go down, but you're free to grind and roam here all you want. There's a crafter in the top-left corner. When you're ready, head to the top-right cave indicated on the radar. In the hilarious cutscene, Gori's fart will get ignited by the campfire causing an explosion.

Now you'll face off against Zaki, one-on-one. It shouldn't be much of a challenge. When you're through here, you'll then proceed to follow Zaki. Just as you catch up to them however, Zaki will send you plummeting into the depths of the cave below. It's a very quick trip from here to the cave entrance we started at though.

When you get here, you'll want to take a pause so that we can go fight an optional boss...

3) Grind until Pogo is at level 16 and fight King Mammoth

We're back at the cave entrance, the same room that Gori lit his fart on fire and almost killed everyone. You'll want to proceed south out of the cave back to the Wildlands. There is a secret optional boss that becomes available once you beat Zaki the second time.

Like the other secret bosses we've faced, this one is described as one of the hardest in the entire game. We're speaking of course of 'King Mammoth'. This boss not only has a massive amount of HP, but can also dodge 80% of your attacks, while using several moves that both attack and heal at the same time. Yuh.

Our only hope to beat him requires that we train Pogo to Level 16, when he learns his ultimate move 'Bing Bang Boom'. After we've done that, we'll then need to find him. As you're using your scent ability to find prey to hunt on the Wildlands, you'll notice Pogo will identify then scent when you go up to a scent cloud. Most of them will show a deer, however one of them will show the symbol of a mammoth.

When you see the mammoth, use the radar to track it. The best strategy to use in this fight is to try and trap King Mammoth in the top-left corner. Have Pogo use 'Poke Bind' until King Mammoth gets paralyzed. Then have him use 'Bing Bang Boom' for massive damage.

King Mammoth will create fire tiles that will hurt you and heal him. Have Gori use 'Poop Throw' to change those fire tiles to poison tiles. Have Gori heal whenever needed using a 'Huge Haunch of Meat'. Keep at it, while limiting his healing and you should be able to pull it off.

As our reward, we get 'Fang of the King' an accessory that raises our attack. Time to save and take a break! Next time we'll be finishing up the Prehistory era, hopefully.
