Mega Man 3 (NES) Playthrough - Part 06: Spark Man
And it's back to the weakness chain I started with...
I present to you a crappy 'speedrun' of Spark Man's base, in which several mistakes are made and damage is taken almost immediately, despite the fact that I know better than trying to just jump through every single Electric Gabyoall as fast as I can.
This level's surprisingly empty regarding conventional enemies, making it more of an obstacle course than a series of (one-sided) fights. As such, it goes by a fair bit faster. Almost too fast, really, leading to a Robot Master in moments.
Spark Man himself doesn't do much. With Shadow Blade equipped there's nothing to worry about from him or his attacks, meaning that there can only be one outcome...
...and it's the acquisition of Spark Shot. Now THIS is a weapon that's almost entirely useless outside of destroying a few bosses. It's supposed to shock things and freeze them in position, which it does flawlessly, but it does no damage at all. What's worse is that you can't switch to another weapon while the enemy is frozen, meaning that it's a waste of weapon energy if they still present an obstacle after being shocked. VERY little use for this one, which is a shame really; on the GameBoy version it's far more practical.
